Weekend Get Together

Kali ni Kak Jue & Abg Marhalim jemput lagi makan2 kat rumah dia. Tp kali ni ade Karaoke Competition (duet). So, kita fikir punya fikir...  akhirnya pilih lagu Seiring dan Sejalan by Nurul & Ajai. Original singer rasanya Broery & Sharifah Aini, kalau tak silap.
Rules for karaoke:
1. Each couple (contestant) has to sing at least 1 song but not more than 2 songs. It can be in English, Malay, Korean, Bengali, Hindi etc. However, the song selected should not be more than 7 minutes each. Contestants may bring their own VCD/DVD karaoke. Contestants can also choose song/s from Organizer's collections. Prior to competition, each contestant has to register their song/s and give the VCD/DVD karaoke to organizer.
2. Contestants will be judged by other contestants (like EuroVision Song competition). This will give fair judging to each contestant. 5 points (excellent) are given for vocal and another 5 points for performance for each individual. Minimum point is 1. Therefore maximum points are 20 for each song performed by contestant. Again, this will provide fair judging as non-performing couple will reduce contestant points. Contestant with the most points/song and individual with the most points/song will each be declared as winners.

2nd - Ahmad & Hawa
3rd - Salimi & Nabihah
Result for Vocal :-
1st - Rina
2nd - Adrin
3rd - Zai

Selasa, 12 Jun, haritu kita pegi klinik untuk mika punya vaccines. Tp frust la camera tertinggal...  tak boleh nak capture gambar2 mika masa kat klinik. Gambar yg ada ni, gambar yg second time pergi klinik untk follow-up. Kesian mika, sampai 6 jarum sekali gus kena. Satu kat lengan, skin test for TB, 2 jarum kat sebelah peha kanan & 3 jarum kat sebelah kiri. Bayak betul sekali injek kat US ni!  Kalau kat mesia rasanya x de la byk camni  . Alhamdulillah... mika tak demam  .
So, today kita pergi untuk follow-up yg skin test kat lengan tu. Dr. akan call untk resultnya nanti.

1) Diphtheria Tetanus & Pertussis
2) Pneumococcal Conjugate
3) Chickenpox
4) Measles Mumps & Rubella

Tiap2 petang mika selalu nak jalan2 kat luar rumah. So, mama terpaksa temankan la mika. Keluar kat backyard je lah. Senang nak kawal. Skrg dah summer, cuaca mmg panas, pukul 7 pun still cerah lg. Skrg kat sini maghrib pukul 8.25pm.

Nak pergi sini driving about 4 hours fr our home. So, kita book hotel for 3 days 2 nite sbb nak pusing2 San Marcos & San Antonio. Kebetulan on Monday tu cuti Memorial Day..wuhoo..mama dpt jalan2...
Mega-outlet shopping complex ni ada dua separate centers, Tanger Outlet and Prime Outlets. The Prime Outlets have 125 stores & the Tanger Outlets have 120. Kita pergi sana 3 kali sebab tak larat nak pusing store kat situ sekali harung... 
Between Tanger and Prime outlets, byk la leading brand-name manufacturers and premium designer labels like Calvin Klein, Coach, Bose, Brooks Brothers, Anne Klein, Ann Taylor, BCBG, Esprit, Cole Haan, Mikasa, Donna Karan, Gap, Guess?, Eddie Bauer n macam2 lg la.. byk sgt. Goods are sold directly from the manufacturer, so everything is the actual name-brand merchandise and not a knockoff.

Why were we going to The Home Depot
|

Masa mula mula sampai Houston dulu..kita nak cepat cepat masuk rumah sebab dah boring duduk hotel..so within two weeks, we already found our dream house..dream house with the exception of the lawn. The house is relatively new, only 2 years old, but in our anxiousness to move in (even without furniture), kita tak terpikir pun nak inspect the condition of the lawn. Pendek kata, orang lain punya lawn cantik macam padang golf..kita punya ntah pe pe macam padang bola..
So after a lot of procrastination, we went to find out how should we tackle this problem. And the best place to find advice? The Home Depot!! Time to get down and dirty. Kalau kat Malaysia, boleh upah orang je buat sumer nih  Tapi kat sini DIY!

This week we had a friend call us up, and it was Amir Sahudi, who told us he was in Houston for the week. So we decided to meet up on Friday the day before he left, and it was set that we would have dinner. In order to make it more meriah, we invited Lockman, another friend from Exxon to join us. Lockman suggested that we have Pakistani/Indian food, rather than go to Cafe Malay. We said that we'd be okay with it, even though we haven't had much luck with getting really good Indian food. However, this time around, the food was really delicious and we can't wait until the next time that we would go there again to satisfy our palates!

Harini kitaorang masak soto ayam untk kawan2 yg datang. Mula2 9 org nak datang tapi 6 org je yg dapt dtg. Diaorang kat sini dah 3 weeks attend training kat sini. So, tomorrow dah nak fly to Malaysia. Bestnya balik mesia.. rase nak ikut nak ikut!!!
Mika happy sgt ade org dtg rumah dia...

eh,, how come we all tak tahu, ek? dulu kat emepmi u ol tak masuk pon karaoke competition tuu..dok asyik2 zamri, juli and that procurement girl aje menang? heheheh....wahhhhh......*mata i still berkelip2 tak sangka...* hihihi..way to go guys!! hmm..nanti mika dah besar sikit boleh masuk american idol laa gini...it's in the genes..heheh...
ohh..btw, happy father's day adrin..apsal u tak celebrate pulak?..this karaoke is like a father/mother celebrationlaa ek? hihi...
tp xper.. mika kuat kan... sbb 2 xdemam... good boy... kuat cm abg adam gak nih... 
aiseh..sampai 6 shots ke? pengsan lah mummy dia kena pegang nanti! 
nasib baik dia tak demam kan? kesian kat budak2 kalau demam..kesian kat mummy gak coz letih nak menjaga!
